The APLMND system is an Anti-Personnel Land Mine Neutralization Device. The module is laid alongside the AP mine and triggered by a timer starter attached to the module. The system works on proximity and does not require any with contact with the target. The module will ignite when triggered to destroy the mine with directed thermal energy by deflagration. In most cases the mine will be neutralized without detonation and the process takes about 5 minutes.
