The stole is manufactured from durable butyl-proofed nylon fabric and assembled by means of adhesive, which has immense resistance to abrasion, tearing, and puncture. When fully inflated, the vest provides around 120 newtons of buoyancy. A hinged fabric flap held closed by a press fastener, can be opened to reveal two large panels of reflective tape designed to aid location in the dark with a standardly fitted efficient gas relief valve for deflation.
